While on his own journey to lead from his heart, John has a passion for helping leaders maximize their leadership from a place of wholeheartedness. Whether one-on-one or in a group cohort, John loves to help leaders with ideas, help them tackle their current challenges, and connect them with others who can help them thrive. 
John, affectionately known as “JB,” lead, served, and grew a college ministry at the University of North Texas to over 1,000 students and planted and helped grow a church in Memphis for twenty years that reached thousands with four campuses.  He also chaired the board of City Leadership / Choose 901 and Soul for the City, along with serving on the board of Acts 29.  He has mentored over 130 church planters as a leader with Fellowship Associates over the past two decades. 
JB was the lead writer and co-communicator of 33 the Series, a six-volume, thirty-six lesson curriculum that has been experienced and transformative to over a million men. 
He double majored in Business Administration and Accounting at Asbury University, has a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, a Master of Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate in Ministry in Leadership from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary. 
JB has been married to his Beth for 28 years and they have six kids. He recently moved back to his hometown in Kentucky.
