"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men," - Colossians 3:23

We can tend to think obedience to God is about big, dramatic acts of faith—starting a ministry, selling everything to move overseas, standing up for something in a moment of great courage.

But most of life isn’t lived on mountaintops. It’s lived in the ordinary.

Spiritual formation happens quietly, moment by moment, right where we already are.

The commute can become a classroom for patience.

The checkout line can become a practice in presence.

Dinner with your family can become a place to grow in gratitude and listening.

Ordinary obedience isn’t glamorous, but it’s one way God grows us.

It’s the steady rhythm of surrender that trains our hearts to stay open to God.

Sure, it’s always good to ask what God is calling us to do. But it’s also good to look for ways we can meet God in what’s already in front of us?

Can you invite God into your everyday moments and let even the smallest things become an act of worship?
