Being made new
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17
You know that feeling when you step into the shower after a long, hard day—dirt, sweat, stress and exhaustion washing away? For a moment, you just stand there, letting the water cleanse you and make you feel new again.
Our souls need that kind of renewal too.
As men, we often carry the weight of our past—mistakes, regrets, things we wish we’d done differently.
We tell ourselves to push through, to handle it on our own, to prove we’re strong enough.
But no amount of effort can truly scrub away the guilt, the shame, and the brokenness we sometimes feel deep down.
That’s what Easter is all about.
Jesus didn’t just come to make us better men; He came to make us new men.
He took our sin, our failures, and our pasts, and in return, He gave us new life.
The only effort required from us is to surrender our need to “fix” ourselves and instead receive the transformation that only He can bring.
This Easter week, I pray you rest in the forgiveness and restoration Jesus offers—a soul cleanse not by our own effort, but by His grace.
