“Thus it is written, ‘The first man Adam became a living being’; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.” - 1 Corinthians 15:45

How often do you think about your influence in the lives of others?

Not just all the things you do—not your achievements or the way you provide or your inner or outer strength—but simply you being you.

Most men feel like they have to bring something impressive to the table to be accepted and loved, but the simple gift of your caring presence can be life-giving for the people in your life.

Being a life-giving spirit means seeking to bring life, hope, and healing to the people in our lives.

It’s looking for opportunities to encourage, to serve, and to build others up.

It might be as simple as offering a word of encouragement to a struggling colleague or going out of your way to help a customer.

It might mean being someone who listens, celebrates, empathizes, and speaks the truth in love with his family and friends.

It might mean looking for ways to serve your community—volunteering, mentoring, or coaching a youth sports team.

When we abide in Christ, when we desire to love others as He loves us, when we let His life flow through us, we naturally become life-giving spirits.

How can you be a life-giving spirit to someone today?
