Don’t waste the hidden season

“Your Father who sees in secret will reward you.” - Matthew 6:4

Not every season of life is visible.

Some seasons are public. People see the progress, the achievement, the fruit.

But other seasons are hidden.

No applause.

No obvious results.

No one noticing the prayers, the obedience, the quiet decisions, the internal battles, the small steps of faithfulness.

Those hidden seasons can be frustrating.

We want to know that what we’re doing matters. We want confirmation that we’re growing, that God is using us, that our choices are making a difference.

But some of the most important formation happens where no one else can see.

A man learning to hold his tongue instead of reacting.

A father choosing patience after a long day.

A husband taking responsibility instead of getting defensive.

A man praying through doubt, showing up in obedience, or doing the right thing when it costs him.

These things may not look impressive from the outside.

But God sees them.

And God often uses hidden seasons to build deep roots.

Roots of humility.

Roots of integrity.

Roots of trust.

Roots of love.

Our culture celebrates what is visible, fast, and measurable. But the Kingdom of God often grows quietly, like a seed in the ground.

Don’t despise the hidden work God is doing in you.

The unseen places may be where He is forming the strongest parts of your character.
